We welcome the Sephardic Community Kollel who are now merging with
the Night Learning Program to bring more Torah opportunities to the community. Below are our Night Program Fellows.
Rabbi Dovid Shamsi
Dovid studied at several distinguished institutions, beginning with Ohr Sameach in Monsey. He furthered his learning at Derech HaTalmud in Jerusalem, and continued his advanced studies at Yeshiva Gedolah of Five Towns in Woodmere, New York. He has been a dedicated member of the Night Learning Program for over 10 years, contributing his extensive knowledge and experience to the community. In addition to his work at the Night Learning Program, Dovid is a Certified Public Accountant and works as a financial controller.
Rabbi Yaakov Azose
Rabbi Yaakov Azose graduated from Fasman Yeshiva High School in Skokie and then learned in Yeshivas Bais Yisroel in Yerushalayim for a number of years. He later returned to HTC and received Semichah there. He also has a master’s degree in computer science from Loyola University Chicago. He is currently working as a computer programmer by day and has been part of the Night Learning Program since its inception, where he still learns by night.
Rabbi Ezra Hamui
Ezra Hamui is currently a Kollel fellow at Telshe Yeshiva and a member of the Night Learning Program in the evenings since 2009. In 2010 Ezra received his Rabbinic Ordination from Harav Yochanan Zweig, Rosh Hayeshiva of Talmudic University of Florida. Throughout the years, as a member of the Night Learning Program, Ezra has given various classes to both the young adult members as well as the general community. Ezra lives with his wife and children in Chicago.
